rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under the trees on a summer's day...

listening to the murmur of water...or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time. ~John Lubbock

"Ah...life grows lovely where you are...."

This tiny little button is my friends little girl....she is silly and adorable and intelligent all rolled up in one. She loved changing outfits, blowing bubbles, dipping her toes in the lake....and smelling the flowers. Thanks for the fun morning girls. xo

Gabby's Gift....

Over the course of the next few days I will be posting photos from last weekends fundraiser. Through the great big world of facebook I learned about a little girl named Gabby that was battling brain cancer and some friends and I decided to hold a little fundraiser in her honor.
Unfortunately Gabby lost her fight on September 11. We decided to carry on only to refocus our sights on sending Gabby's two sisters Katie and Madison, along with their parents John and Carolyn...to Disney. This is something the family had been planning to do, but never got the chance. We strongly believe that Gabby would have wanted this for her family and we wanted to help however we could.
I want to thank my sweet friends Nichole Brown Barilla and K.C.Uthus for making this all possible. Nichole's amazing organizational skills and total charm got us moving..and kept us moving! And the uber talented K.C. Uthus helped me as we photographed families back to back most of the day. We also want to thank our little community for acting in a huge way...the kindness and generosity you have all shown makes me so proud to live here.

Please stop by running.with.camera and take a peek at K.C.'s work...she's pretty amazing!

"to the outside world we all grow old. but not to brothers and sisters...

we know each other as we always were. we know each others hearts. we share private family jokes. we remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. we live outside the touch of time." ~clara ortega
